Paul Jackson
The man with a smile in his voice.
He’s so friendly, he’ll have you at hello. Customer service runs deep in the family blood. He’s been trained in the art since 7th grade when he worked for his family’s catering business out of Palo Alto. So maybe he didn't get as much time to hang out at the arcade or the mall as most kids at that time, but when he had a minute to spend all his hard work meant he could have any color Members Only jacket he wanted AND every title in the ColecoVision library (172 games all told) ... if he wanted.
He learned a little something about life on the football field, too, while playing defensive end and fullback at Palo Alto High School: One player does not win a championship. He carries that into his DJ work, knowing it takes a whole crowd to really light up a dance floor -- and that can mean playing to people 80 years apart in age.
How does he do it? Subtley getting people into positions where they can have fun in a way they didn't even know was possible. It's all about the assist -- all about teamwork.
Except when it comes to video games. Then it’s all about him. Oh yes, you’re gonna lose.
