Niall Stevenson |

Niall Stevenson grew up in a small town outside Belfast, Ireland. The countryside is mostly green and the culture distinctly Irish. At 21 years old, he got the opportunity to come to the United States to play Irish Hurling -- a game some say is best compared to field hockey. One of the major differences is in field hockey you have a stick with a net; in hurling you have a flat wooden club (do with that what you will). He also played Gaelic Football. Both very physical, dangerous and skillful sports that when played well result in no fatalities. Missing teeth happen, but, as in rugby, the idea is to knock each other silly on the field (with complete respect for the game and each other, mind you) then go raise a pint together afterward.
Playing in San Francisco was a dream come true for Niall as his boyhood hero, Joe Montana, and his favorite American Football team, the 49ers were here as well. Niall has even had the good fortune to meet Joe -- but in his typical style, he downplays it.
One thing he won’t downplay is his affection for his new home. Though the diversity of the Bay Area shocked him at first, it hasn’t stopped impressing him over his ten years since (suffice to say he missed the team flight back home). Living in San Francisco, he’s had the opportunity to fall for Asian, Mexican and South American culture, music and food in one location – though he still enjoys a potato or two.
His competitive playing days are behind him, but he keeps his edge through fitness and his work. He's a sales account executive during the week. It’s a job where his focus is on relationships. He is constantly meeting new people and knows he only has the briefest of moments to gain their trust and build up a rapport.
We guarantee a first-time meeting with Niall comes complete with his infectious laugh, charming Irish Brogue and his warm, Irish eyes smiling.

"We (Nathalie and I) wanted to thank you for being a part of our day. The music was fantastic and you helped the evening flow very well. You even humored me and let me perform a terrible Irish dance - but my grandparents loved it, so who cares. In spite of your poor choice in football teams, we wouldn't have wanted any one else to be in charge of the music at our wedding. As you saw, we really do enjoy dancing and you kept people on the floor all night. We have gotten many compliments on the music, from all ages, no compliments on your Lolerpool comments though. Weird. We had a blast. We threw the party we wanted, and you provided the perfect soundtrack for it"
-Sean Philips, RF80, October 2, 2009

"Niall was superb. He played a perfect mix of Irish and other music. One of my bridesmaids said she was hoping he would play a bad song so she could sit down but it never came. I felt the same way. Everyone had a great time dancing. Niall epitomized the professionalism of your company. Thank you for making our wedding so special. "
-Mairead Daly, Corinthian Yacht Club, September 11, 2009
