Larry Sundstrom
One Man Band
If you're gonna do something, you might as well do it right -- and if you're Larry Sundstrom, that may well mean doing it yourself. It's not that he's a "freak" in the "classic" sense, but he has a way -- a sense of how things should be. Whether it's a little house project like putting on a new roof, or singing classic rock with a full digital band behind him, Larry's in line with ol' Blue Eyes -- he'll do it his way.
But before you go casting nasty names like narcissist at him, understand he's the way he is for something bigger than himself. He believes in the audience and always wants to give them what they want. That means being in touch with how things are -- you know, the Force, flow, energy... just don't call it "chi" as that makes him giggle.
"Strive for perfection, but don't get upset when it doesn't go perfect," says the wise man.
Simply put, he loves shows, theatricality, and showmanship. Whether taking in the latest Vegas offering, the Blues Brothers show at Universal, or the new Aladdin stage show in California Land (Disney, baby), he is an appreciator... and a thief; he's more than happy to rip something off he likes and use it to great effect for whatever audience he's in front of.
Shame? He don't have no stinking shame.
He's a one man band,
man.

"The wedding was wonderful and perfect!!!! Larry was a terrific DJ, and people were even asking about him and where we got our DJ from! He was so friendly and polite, and helped make our wedding so much fun!"
-Kara Werner, Inn at Benicia Bay, October 17, 2009
"We are back from the honeymoon and had a great time. The wedding was awesome and we would recommend Larry to anyone. The dancing started out a bit slow but then our friend who is a wedding coordinator recommended to us to let him loose on my previous request for no Rap or hip hop, and once we let him roll the evening was awesome! We danced all night long and everyone had a great time. Larry is the best. "
-Cameron Crebs, Sonoma Golf Club, October 3, 2009
"Denon & Doyle were AWESOME! Larry was the best DJ - he played even the obscure songs we requested, adjusted to several changes in plan.. and even helped a bridesmaid perform a surprise live song for me! Please please pass along our thanks and praise. If we can offer other feedback in a more public forum, we are happy to do so. "
-Stephanie Morgan, Cliff House, August 22, 2009

"Everything went great. Larry was very good at keeping things going at all times. We had the best time ever and couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks for everything and we will always recommend you for any up coming events."
-Lynn Metcalf, Green Valley Country Club, March 28, 2009
"The party went great and everyone had a good time. Near the end of the night we had a small group of people who danced the night away. These people told everyone who left the party early that the missed out on all the dancing fun.
Larry did a wonderful job. Very nice, helpful and played good music. He also did a great job of getting everyones requests played."
