So you think you can dance? News flash: Bev knows she can dance. Lucky for you she’s nice and she’ll show you how, too.

Put a mic in her hand and she’s trouble -- not for you, but for anybody who’s trying to fake it on the dance floor (or play “I’m going to hide in the weeds”). No sir, Bev is not having it.

Don’t let this sweet-looking young lady fool you. She ripped out both shoulders, simultaneously dislocating them while doing Giant Swings on a high bar in training for the 2000 Olympic gymnastics team. You could call those her “trophies of tough”. By the by, she had to continue holding the bar with her dislocated shoulders for the next 20 minutes while waiting for an ambulance so the EMTs could pop them back into place properly. O-U-C-H.

Though that “setback” steered her away from Sydney, it opened up the door to dance -- and she’s alright with that. Someday she may even open up her own studio. She got her education (thank you) Gaucho style in college, studying on the beaches at UC Santa Barbara. If that sounds unrealistic...you’re probably right. But she does have a real (albeit somewhat sand and Freebirds burrito-stained) degree if you need proof she did something besides underwater basketweaving.

Plain and simple: when she walks in a room, she’s there to get things started. And she will smile, talk, dance, shake hands and do whatever’s necessary to make it happen. Just don’t ask her to pull anybody too hard. That shoulder pop thing is still with her.

"Bev, Tyler, and Rachel did a terrific job and worked so hard. The kids just wouldn't dance. To be honest, it was a strange group but your team did a fabulous job keeping things going. I really appreciate all that they did to make the evening a success. Gabe was thrilled with the evening. Many thanks to everyone!"

"Now that the dust has had a bit of time to settle, I can sit down and let you know how much we enjoyed Denon and Doyle's contribution to the success of Sylvette's Bat Mitzvah party. We have received so much positive feedback from our friends and family. Everyone had a blast - adults and children alike. Beverley, along with Parry, Sasha and Sue, were really great. Beverley even got my really shy nephew out on the dance floor. He turned out to be a party animal! I really didn't hear a lot of my choices in music; but, I was too involved with being a hostess, I'm not sure if I just missed them. Didn't hear "Brown Eyed Girl"! In any event, it was a success. We did get a little feedback from a few people that it was too loud. But, they were older. The party was for Sylvette and she loved it. The photo bar was well worth the extra expense. I'm glad we had it. David and Ben were very accommodating. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed fooling around and getting the keychain souvenir. Brian Doyle was a great help, too. Several people recommended your services to us; and, now I know why. We will certainly keep Denon and Doyle in mind for our next big occasion.... not too soon, yet, though! Thank you so much."

"Please tell Beverly and the rest of the group that it went very very well and we are very appreciative. Everyone was dancing and having fun"

"Well, we did it! Thea said it was the best party ever, which makes it all worthwhile. You did a fantastic job getting everyone up and participating at the start and kept the party going at just the right pace the entire time. You kept those kids on their feet. It was over so quickly, the time just flew by. I felt you did a great job of reading the crowd and making everyone comfortable and entertained. My only regret was that the weather was not better and the older folks could have sat outside and visited where it was not so loud, but that was certainly out of your hands! Thanks to you and Seth for making it such a great day."

"ONLY compliments for Patrick, Tyrone, Beverley, April and Louis!! It was a fantastic party--- your team was amazing. Ellie and her friends never stopped dancing. The "big" kids (my high school & college-aged group) may have even had as much fun as the 13 year olds. My favorite quote, from a 21 year old guest, was "Ellie's bat mitzvah was more fun than a college party"----don't think I can top that!"
- Beverly Davis, Montclair Womens Club, May 26, 2007

"Beverley and Gautam were absolutely fantastic. I have had at least 15 people tell me that it was the best party they have ever been to, and you know that a lot of that is a reflection of the DJ. So... thank you and thank both Beverly and Gautam again."
- Shawna Perlman, Private Residence, April 28, 2007

"Just wanted to let you know what an excellent job Mark and Beverly did last night! We had a lot of last minute changes during the evening and Mark and Beverly just went with the flow. So, please pass on our sincere THANKS to them for keeping the evening sane. They truly are professionals! Thank you! I really appreciate it!"

"The Teen party was EXACTLY what Brett wanted. The party was fun from beginning to end, and I really think every single kid there had a great time. You contributed to the party's success in so many ways: Your conscientiousness in following up with us before the party led to you knowing exactly what Brett wanted. Your suggestion about the decorations was the key aspect turning the room into the feel we wanted. Your set up on the stage furthered the mood of a real party. The choice of music was perfect. in fact Moms were telling me that their kids told them that "the music makes the party and Brett had awesome music". Your suggestion to hand out the glasses was a winner. Another Mom told me, "My son wore those glasses all day on Sunday". Nobody wanted the party to end, which is about the best testament we can give, and everyone was saying it was the "coolest party ever". Thank you to you, Kyle, Beverly, Claire, and the other guy (whose name I forget at the moment but I'm sure the kids know it)"
- Mylene Caplan, Peninsula Temple Sholom, January 27, 2007

"We were THRILLED with the entire team! Patrick, Seth, Claire and Beverly were all terrific! We will definately recommend you to any of our friends in need of a DJ and would certainly use you again if we have a need in the future. Fortunately, Jordan is our only child, so at least it won't be for another Bar or Bat Mitzvah! Thanks for everything!"
- Le Eisman, Oakland Scottish Rite Center, January 13, 2007

"The party was a great success and Beverley, Kyle, Pam, and Kate all did a good job. I'll likely be in touch in the near future as my younger daughter will have a Bat Mitzvah in 2 years."

"Friends and family have all told me how great they thought that you guys were! I want to especially mention that when something that was never planned for happened, your people really came through and did an excellent job! They just stepped up to the task and performed beautifully!!! In additon, the coordination that Beverly and Mark did so that the kids attending the two parties the same day really made a difference! The kids stayed engaged and active throughout. I think both girls ended up with a party that felt special for them. Beverly also did a nice job coordinating this with me, when I knew next to nothing about how to run a party like this. I really appreciated that!

The folks who run the Veteran's Memorial Building were concerned when they found out how many teens were attending this party, as there were about twice as many teens as adults. Apparently, a party there 2 weeks earlier had had many problems controlling the kids. However, they complimented me afterwards on the great behavior of the kids. I told them I thought that the disc jockey company we used made a big difference, and I made sure they knew you were Denon and Doyle.

I have to say, I was very skeptical going into this party with spending so much money to get the DJ company my daughter wanted. But had we used another, cheaper company, with fewer staff people, I think this party could have been a disaster! I will definitely recommend you without hesitation to everyone! I thought all of your staff people (Beverly, Ryan, Jayne and Sasha) were just incredible, and would recommend them in particular as well!

The only negative comment any of us could come up with, is that Rachel says that she and her friends had some requests, but they didn't get played. However, she also said she thought her party was great! Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful party!"

"We're a totally satisfied customer. All four were professional and great. Beverly did an outstanding job orchestrating both leading up to and during the party. My son gave the ultimate compliment: 'Mom, thank you so much; this is the best party I've been to.'"
